CUSTOMER SPARK #25 - A MORE ENGAGING GIFT

Around the holidays, when we were really just getting our feet wet with 100SPARKS!, we were trying to find ways to show a little extra appreciation for our most loyal clients. Thoughts about sending a seasonal greeting card ran through our heads but we opted against it, thinking our efforts would get pushed aside in the mass of holiday cards that go out at that time. 

Eventually, we came up with the idea of giving our best clients each a book that we thought was inspirational and fun, and we would deliver it in January as sort of a “good luck this year and we appreciate your business” gift. We were able to give this present in person to a client and the reaction was priceless. Not only was our customer taken by total surprise that we would even do something like that for them, but they actually had heard about the book and had it on their wish list to get someday.
 
Why this is one of our favorite sparks:
We'd like to claim it’s our favorite spark because it made us feel all warm and fuzzy inside but there was more to it than that. We were able to find a way to truly show that we appreciate the repeat business in a fun, creative and unique way—and it really worked in this case! They loved both the thought of the gift and the gift itself! The whole idea of proactively giving a "New Year's" gift is much more engaging than a typical Christmas gift. Bottom line, there is nothing like making a great client feel super special when they come back to visit sparkspace.
